2005 Inland Sea Kayak Symposium June 16-19 Thompson's West End Washburn, Wisconsin Thursday night: Opening Speaker, Jeff Rennicke "The Constellation of the Apostles": Strung like a constellation in the Friday night: Keynote Speaker, Richard Roshon "Man, Kayak and the Whale" Since 1975, Richard Roshon has kayaked more than 25,000 miles around the Hawaiian Islands. He has spent days and nights eating and sleeping in his ocean kayak with North Pacific Humpback whales lying by his side in the winter months. Through slides and video, Roshon will place us in the cockpit of his kayak and show us the whales. Plus all the regular programming you've come to expect: Apostle Island paddle tours, on-water kayaking instruction, classroom seminars . . .And new this year, we're bringing outrigger canoes (ties in with the Hawaii theme), and adding a few family-focused classes. |
